Paladin has arrived! I've been LARPing for 5 years and during this time have developed my character from a simple template (started with the idea of a D&D type cleric) to a fully developed person. And of course he turned to be a bit different from what I meant - a darker one, more cynical, yet still ready to sacrifice anything for the greater good.
LARP actually managed to defeat all my other hobbies, by giving me all the three aspects I look for in a hobby - the adrenaline rush from the combat, that I used to find in airsoft, the thrill of creating stuff that I used to find in scale modelling and electronics and the roleplay, for which I played PnP RPGs.
That being said I make almost all of my LARP gear myself (except for the plate armour - I do not have access to a smithy) and have even established a somewhat successful online business, selling handmade LARP assessories.
