The story of Evenlyn Live action role playing is kinda like my sport. However instead of balls we have flags. Instead of opposite teams we have goblins, zombies, or hounds. Instead of Quarter backs, pitchers, and line backers we have warriors, mages, and scouts. I have never been a lover of sports. I mean watching a bunch of men fight over a ball is degrading. However fighting with swords to complete a quest or challenge with honor is something I wanted to be a part of.

And so I have been for two happy months now and with our kings coronation this Saturday I could not be happier. It is in my blood to serve and advise kings as my ancestors where the great stewards of Scotland. So in a way this is also a means to get in touch with my heritage.

I fight with honor and am a good sport about losing (which I seem to do a lot). Just being around the other guys in my larp group is worth getting my butt handed to me every time. They key to have fun whether you win or lose. The group I am with is called amtgard and we all have a blast. I used to larp only at anime conventions and such but then I found a group in my own town and the rest is history.

I hope to being doing this for many years to come rain or shine, cold or hot I'll be out there getting my butt kicked and having fun. I am hoping to find someone who I could have a relationship and do this with. A lot of married couples do this together and have found each other through larp so maybe I'll find my own Knight in what ever kinda armor he wears lol.
